  Yeay, I wonder if the Mormon helping hands and the disaster relief JWs faced up in the street. Wheelbarrows crashing, janitor equiptment being thrown like javelins.

  Two guys,a pioneer and a woman in a yellow vest fighting over a piece of wall insulation.

  The other thing that always makes my stomach flip is the numbers. The WT always quantify exactly how many homes they have helped in. No doubt there is a brother with a clipboard noting every hour spent and claiming the credit for it. I love the fact they respond but hate the shameless favouring of there own, and the fact that as soon as the event was forecast they started to make a self-congratulatory video. Ah, the love.

  i was curious, how many jws end up getting caught up in pyramid scemes like amway.

  i was caught up in there online program quixstar for a little while several years ago.

  i noticed there are several similarities between amway and a cult..

  cyberjesus: if 100 people sign into a business and 99 do nothing then 99 percent of the people didnt make anymoney not because it was apyramid scheme... but because they didnt do anything...

  and if only one person signed those 100 and that person made most of the money its not because it was a scheme.... but because that perso did the work and signed up 100 people.... does it make sense?

  So there we have it. The object of the business is not to find satisfied customers no, it is to sign up more suckers to give you income. Pyramid, Pyramid, Pyramid. You are all victims of a con working to find other victims to con. YOU CAN”T ALL GET A LIVING.

  What are the WT Society's expenditures?

  i'm hoping someone who has at least a little inside knowledge can help educate me here.

  what sort of things does the wbts pay for, on a worldwide basis?.

  - i understand that khs are owned and funded locally, at least where the locals can afford them, but what about in poor areas?.

  Just one correction to ronwashington. The assembly halls in the UK were totally financed by the circuits using them. The money for materials as well as the labour were provided by the congs in the catchment area. People gave their money jewellry and other valuables.

  The circuits then pay rent to use the hall that they have bought and built themselves.

  Who owns the facility once built? Hmmm, I wonder.

  i'm a born in jehovah's hostage, and am still a hostage until i can wake my family up (wishful thinking i know).

  i'll formally introduce myself later.. for now i have some burning concerns about the service meeting part for the week of december 24, 2012.

  The interesting thing is that the internet is so fast moving and unpredictable. The mighty fall every day whilst some garage operation is suddenly a household word.

  Who could possibly predict what will happen in the next six months. You dip your toe in the water and you either have a pleasant swim or a shark takes your leg off. Is the WT so captivating it will satisfy all or does it open the door to investigation of the subject. I can't see JW.ORG being a rip-roaring success.

  What happens could happen quickly, if WT becomes dependent on the internet they swim in shark infested waters. Change may come quicker than anyone thinks.

  How Does One Get The Study Articles For The Wt Study?

  this might seem a silly question but i have not been to a watchtower study in 28 years so am unfamiliar with the latest set up.

  the study watchtower magazines are not printed anymore as they are available only on the internet, as electronic editions.. ok. so how does one actually bring or get a printed copy for the study?

  is one expected to print his/her own individusl copy, or are they available at the desk for those who can't print these?

  There are now two editions printed, the study edition and the public edition. The study edition in printed form is available only at the KH. You can however download it in all its glory from JW.ORG. You can then print it out, use it to light the fire, paper the walls, use it for cat litter or even read it. Now one edition per month with usually four study articles.

  hence, such an individual is a diligent student of the bible and an avid reader of the watchtower and awake!

  Thanks BroMac, I have to say that the respectful observance seems more in keeping with the dignity of the event than this new anarchy. I just find it difficult to see how the change is justified. Can you imagine a church service in which anything similar happened. I was in Moscow, in 1990 I think, when several thousand were baptised. The event took hours and to their credit the crowd applauded throughout to the point of hand pain, they were trying to convey love and support. Yes it was misplaced but you can't fault the camaraderie. The stuffed shirts tried to start the PM session but the brothers refused to stop clapping. The session was delayed, happy days.

  I was pleased to see so few baptised and inwardly groaned at what they are doing but I still feel it should be shown respect.
